Voluntary Services Officer37.5 hours per week Salary £21,320 pa St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care throughtwo hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthingand Chestnut Tree House, the only children's hospice inSussex, near Arundel.We could not offer our vital serviceswithout the help of our many wonderful volunteers and arenow looking to recruit even more across Sussex.Reporting to the Voluntary Services Manager, you will be responsiblefor the effective provision of volunteer services across St BarnabasHospices, both internally and externally, working within the communityto attract and recruit new volunteers from diverse backgrounds.You should be able to travel across Sussex and be a car owner.The successful candidate will have a minimum two years'experience working in a busy office environment with strongorganisational skills and the ability to multi-task. Goodcommunication and presentation skills are essential and experienceof public speaking is desirable together with the ability to influence,motivate and communicate with a wide range of people withsensitivity.You will need to have the flexibility to workindependently whilst remaining part of the Voluntary Services Team.Proficiency in MS Office suite and databases and producing statisticaldata and analysis is desirable. An interest in the use of social media indeveloping wider communication with our volunteers and the localcommunity would be useful.
