Talent identification and acquisition

We will work closely with you to define the specific behaviours and skills required to recruit and develop the right person  who will in turn help you to grow your business. 

We use in-depth one to one psychometric assessment, simulate a meeting  and use competency-based and motivation interviewing to identify the candidate who will be highly successful in the open position.

Using the information from the initial assessment of the candidate by the experienced search consultant, we will go one step further and analyse the person, their skills and aptitude in depth and identify their strengths and weaknesses in detail. Our output will be a detailed report about what makes  the candidate work and how this fits within your company culture.

We will probe their competence by using a competency based interview, and establish rapport and self insight by using aspects of Motivational Interviewing techniques, using insights from data  provide by the experienced Search consultant.

It is also advised to administer a resilience assessment whereby the individual’s ability to cope with demanding situations and people can be explored.

In order to make this process truly robust, it is also recommended to introduce an element whereby ‘self reported’ data (interviews, psychometric assessments) can be validated by ‘observed’ behaviour. As part of a session with a prospective candidate, we would recommend designing a short, but representative scenario of a situation that the candidate may encounter on a typical day in your diverse company. The interviewer/assessor could role-play in a 15 to 20 minute meeting with candidate, observe performance and evaluate him/her on pre-defined criteria.

All this information will be integrated and be part of a report to the hiring manager/director. Whilst a bit more work has to be undertaken to gain this comprehensive picture, management, HR and the business will benefit greatly from this information.
